**3rd Grade Parents
The WGBA travel program for 3rd graders happens the latter half of the 2023-24 season. The travel season will begin at the conclusion of the rec season for third graders, so there is no conflict with the rec schedule. There will be an additional registration for tryouts which will likely occur in December 2023. If you have any questions, please contact Chad Greenway at chadwgba@gmail.com.

The Registration "Travel Basketball" is not currently available.
Travel basketball is for girls interested in an increased level of play, competition, and dedication. Girls are committed to practice twice each week and play ten tournaments during each season. Check out the program comparison page for more details.

Fees & Refund Policy:
-$580 for grades 4th-8th
-Fee includes 10 tournaments for the season. Additional tourneys can be added at the behest of the coaches/parents.
-We will create up to four teams per travel grade 4th-8th, but will not exceed four.
-We try very hard to not make any cuts, but occasionally we have too many kids try out and cuts are made. These players will receive a full refund and the opportunity to sign up for our rec program.
-Players who make a team and then choose not to play will lose the entire registration fee (no refunds). Exceptions can be requested to the Travel Committee whose decision will be final.
-Uniform costs are not included in the registration fee.
Additional info:
-5th-8th grades will have one overnight tournament in Rochester, MN.
-All travel player parents are expected to provide 3 volunteer hours per travel player at the Wayzata Classic Tournament, to be held January 6-7, 2024. Families wishing to opt out of working at this tournament can pay a $200.00 opt-out fee.
Pre-tryout workout sessions are tentatively scheduled for September. More info to come.
Practice Begins the week of October 2nd, 2023. Teams practice two nights per week, with mandatory attendance.
