WGBA Travel Program
The Wayzata Girls Basketball Association (WGBA) Travel Basketball Program is designed for elementary and middle school girls who are eager to compete at a high level while accelerating their individual and team development. This program is intended for players who are passionate about basketball and ready to challenge themselves against top competition across the region.
Aligned with WGBA’s mission to develop and support girls basketball across the Wayzata School District, the Travel Basketball Program provides a competitive in-season experience while building a clear pathway for long-term player growth and connection to the Wayzata High School Girls Basketball Program.
Key Program Highlights:
Eligibility: Open to girls in grades 3-8. Players must provide proof of enrollment in a Wayzata school or residency within the Wayzata School District.
Commitment: Two mandatory practices per week, with an expectation of consistent attendance and active participation.
Competition: Teams participate in approximately 10 weekend tournaments throughout the season, competing against strong local and regional programs.
Team Focus: Emphasis on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a commitment to competitive excellence.
The WGBA Travel Basketball Program offers more than just on-court development - it’s an opportunity for players to build confidence, character, and lasting connections within a supportive and competitive team environment.
